Celebitix is a self-promotional website that’s looking to leverage social networking tools to get you where you need to be. That being said, are a lot of different directions you can go with your own profile and use-file for your presence on Celebitrix. There’s a classifieds section, video-sharing, a marketplace, news and a section for career-related networking. So there seems to be objectives on Celebitrix’s part to appeal to individuals, artists and businesses for promotional purposes.

Purpose-Driven Sites as Self-Promotional Tools
There’s been a good amount activity in the business networking sector, particularly for the purpose of presenting web 2.0 and networking tools in a manner that is simple for business owners to use, and will effectively “work for themselves,” in a sense, for promoting their business online and locally. Whether this is tied directly to eBay or simply for an overarching theme of expanding one’s web presence, as with Upspring, the number of tools being created for this purpose is growing.

Of course the same goes for networks used to promote yourself on a more individual level.
